1st Blogging Award!
Balance & Blessings has been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award! Happy First Month of Blogging to me!
What a fun first month it has been as an official blogger! I have received my first award nomination! I have been nominated by Malia’s Passport for “The Blogger Recognition Award”! You can read her post at http://www.maliaspassport.com/travelblog/blogger-recognition-award/
Here is a quick version of the story of how my blog started for those who have not visited my “About Me” page/posts yet:
I have come across many blogs throughout the years I have gained much info and advice from, whether I was making travel plans, searching for recipes, fashion tips, or even trying to decide on a big life career change! I had thought of trying to make one myself, but did not have the time or knowledge until this summer. I was encouraged by a friend of mine who wanted to start one too, so I dived first into many more blogs and articles on how to go about doing so. Before I knew it, I was day-dreaming, sleeping, breathing, fiercely writing up posts and mulling over the best way to accomplish what I wanted to between writing and promoting. A big help was that I have already done some modeling, like photography, and had recently become a social media influencer. I figured a blog would be a great way to promote whatever I would get involved in while also bringing many parts of my life together in one place. This blog was created to be a place I can share anything about anything. A place where it is okay to combine all parts of my life plus share new ideas, articles, tips and tricks, products and anything else I think might interest/entertain my readers. I hope my posts inspire you, and leave you feeling blessed.
Advice for new bloggers:
I feel silly giving advice being so new myself, but here it goes:
1. Connect everything google right away!
Whether it is a Gmail account specifically for your blog, Google Adsense, Analytics, or whatever is suggested do it! In one month now of blogging I have made about $5 in Google Adsense alone! *Note: Contrary to stories I have heard, it is possible to get approved for Google Adsense in less than 3 days! I think maybe this was since I had just created a email account for my blog through Google’s Gmail, so everything connected really fast (like within 48 hours!)
2. Network like crazy, especially FB Groups!
I have found the most traffic for now for this new blogger has been from posting links to my blog or separate posts in Facebook Groups for bloggers. I am also trying (Keyword: TRYING -haha) to use Twitter for the first time, and Stumbleupon. *Bonus Advice: Write all your passwords/login info for everything on “Notepad” or a document on your computer, and then Email it to yourself so you will always have a copy somewhere. I literally typed a list as I go along of everything from my Siteground Domain’s login info, to affiliate websites I am linked to, to all these social networking sites I am trying.
I would like to pass this Award along to these 15 bloggers:

I am still thinking but feel I would not be techie enough to get a blog that looks and functions right. It seems difficult. Your sight and blogs are so helpful. Thanks.
Your welcome! As I said in my first post this month, it took a few months of research and learning beforehand for me before I started mine. There are many helpful blogs out there that give specific directions with video tutorials and everything. Those were probably the most helpful for me!
