Fun Winter Outfits 2019

For Work, Play, or party!

+ my fun Valentine’s Outfit shoot!

Happy almost Valentine’s Day! In this post for Fashion & Beauty month I wanted to share my favorite, fun winter outfits I have worn so far this winter. I also am going to share a few favorite shots from my recent self-shot portraiture session for Valentine’s Day!

Fun Winter Outfits 2019 for work, play, or party

I chose to feature these particular outfits in this post for several reasons. One being that they were comfy, and easy to dress up or down. Another is that they represent a few different parts of life; my career, my hobby/down-time, and time spent out making fun memories with those I love!

Outfit 1 – Work

I took some new, professional head shots this month to use for my careers and future acting resumes. I was long overdue for some nice black and white shots to use for modeling/acting submissions! Black is pretty much what I wear most days while working as a massage therapist at several locations. When working for myself, I prefer comfy outfits like this short, black dress that also allows some stretch for my movements. I usually have some fun leggings underneath though. 😉

Outfit 2 – Play

I did not get a chance to feature much if any photos from my first official self-shoot session this past Fall. I have since worn this outfit or similar throughout the Fall and Winter because it keeps me extra warm wherever I am. This shirt was found on sale at a local Columbia outlet, and so I gave it a try. It is very warm, and perfect for layering! I do not think I ever wore a flannel shirt before, but love this one! For more about my photography and modeling attempts, you can read this post.

Outfit 3 – Party

Glitter and metallics was my thing this past holiday season! I had been on the hunt for either gold or silver leggings for a long time, and finally came across both at the Mall this season! A gray top speckled with small metallic gold threads completed this little New Years Eve number.

Outfit 4 – My Valentine’s Portraiture Outfit

I had a fun little portraiture sessions the very end of January in preparation for February projects! I wanted to try out my new lighting kit I got for Christmas, and have been lax in practicing different shooting modes indoors with my DSLR. The new lighting improved the shots right out of the camera! Barely any touch-ups needed in the editing process, though I could always work on that too. Currently, I am working on a Diploma in Social Media Marketing & Management. Maybe after that another photography course? Anyway, you can tell I have still not moved on from my quest for glitter everything. Also, sophisticated tutu skirts make for super fun winter outfits for parties! Top is from Poshmark – my new major shopping/selling addiction!

*If you want to try Poshmark you can put @jilinph as the referral when you sign up, and then you will receive $5 posh credit! Listing on this site is so much more easier than trying to yard sale my stuff!
